For those clients that have implemented the SFX server and want to implement the SFX button in vLex, they must have the following requisites:
1) Have IP access configured
2) Have the “Base URL” and the “Button URL” defined.
For example, consider a client with this “Base URL” and this “SFX Button”:
Base URL: http://example.com:3410/sfxlcl24
SFX Button: http://example.com:3410/sfxlcl24/sfx.gif
Then, this client should change the URL that it is using to log in to vLex with IP access (http://vlex.com/account/login_ip) for this new URL using the sfx parameters:
Once this URL is updated to login into vLex, the user whilst navigating through “Books and Journals” and when viewing search results of “Books and Journals”, will see the SFX button defined.
For example, navigating inside a document that is a book or journal, on the document options you will get a SFX button link like this: (consider that the link image can differ)
And when you search for books and journals, you will get:
Please note that sometimes we do not have the ISBN or the ISSN for a document. In these situations, the SFX button will not be shown.
